Where we workFoundation activities take place in the Barrio Lipaya, a community on the southeastern perimeter of Barranquilla, an area struggling with poverty and indigence. |
MissionMi Ciudad con Vida seeks to promote the full growth and personal development of children and youth from low income backgrounds in the areas of education, health and recreation; in Barranquilla, Colombia we currently work with 127children ages 3 to 18, divided into 3 major age groups. |
VisionIn the next few years, the Foundation hopes to have the adequate infrastructure and national as well as international support to sustain its programs. The Foundation will provide ongoing support for children as they enter the school system until they complete their studies and are ready to participate in their communities as productive and successful individuals. |
Why we existColombia is a country ravaged by violence. The social, economic and political crisis translates into a very high level of abject poverty. Children and youth are most affected by this phenomenon. |
